Operator
Native Chinese Name studio is a China-based naming studio. This policy covers this domain only — the English-first waitlist at nativechinesename.com. The sister checker chinesenamecheck.com is a separate site with its own policy.
Data we collect
When you submit the intake form we store: email, English name, package (Native Name or Audience vote), optional current Chinese name, optional gender impression, optional used-for (WeChat / work / study / other), optional note, and a timestamp. Package choice is not payment. There is no checkout and no payment data on this site.
Why we store it
We use that row to keep a waitlist, to contact you about this request and whether a slot is available, and later to email Native Name files if we accept the work. We may email you from the studio about this intake only. We do not run marketing sequences from this form. We do not run ads against your name, sell lists, or require an account.
Where it lives
On production, submissions are written to a private JSON object in Vercel Blob (US region iad1). In development they are written to a local JSON file. The site is hosted on Vercel. This is not a customer data platform. Do not paste secrets or other people’s private data into the form.
How long we keep it
Unconverted waitlist rows are deleted after 180 days. If a row is converted into a job, we keep it as needed to deliver the name files, then 180 days after delivery unless you ask us to delete it earlier.
Access and deletion
To see or delete the data we hold for you, email privacy@nativechinesename.com from the same address you used on the form. We will not treat a second intake submission as a deletion request.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The waitlist file is a private Blob object, not a public URL. A founder export of the waitlist is secret-gated and is not a public page. We do not collect payment data on this site. If a store incident is confirmed, we will notify affected emails.
Withdraw
The waitlist is not a paid contract. You can withdraw the request by emailing privacy@nativechinesename.com from the same address you used on the form. Checker-specific storage is documented on chinesenamecheck.com/privacy.
